Cœur de Cour
"Cœur de Cour," or "heart of the court" is an exploration of the many manifestations of courtly love. Beyond the image of a noble lady placed on a pedestal and worshipped by a lovesick troubadour, "Cœur de Cour" examines medieval expressions of flirtation, infidelity, pious devotion, and devestating grief. On this EP we present 7 tracks from the French and Occitan-speaking courts of the 12th and 13th century.
